Cedar Grove man dies after hitting manure spreader

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) - A 19-year-old man is dead after crashing his pickup into a manure spreader being pulled by a tractor in Ozaukee County.

County sheriff's Capt. David Guss said the man, from Cedar Grove, rear-ended the tractor attachment while both were headed west on Jay Road in the town of Fredonia about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

A passenger in the pickup, a 17-year-old Cascade boy, was injured and taken to a local hospital. The 19-year-old died at the scene.

A 33-year-old Belgium man driving the tractor was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
