OWATANNA, Minn. - For most people who have llamas, the animals cross the boundary between livestock and pets. That makes it more difficult for owners to euthanize a llama that is old or in poor health.

Vet: Older llamas require extra TLC
OWATONNA, Minn. - Sooner or later, most people who have llamas and alpacas will be providing care for older animals. Those geriatrics require a little extra TLC, according to Dr. Kristy Brown of Sparta, a presenter at the Lamas of Minnesota winter conference Jan. 22 in Owatonna.
