MINNEAPOLIS — When her 19-year-old nephew was killed a few years ago while working in a grain bin in Illinois, Catherine Rylatt knew she had to take action to keep other families from going through the same pain.

Rylatt, who lives in Texas, called John Lee at the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois, and wheels were set in motion for the Grain Handling Safety Coalition.
