Sleigh and Cutter Rally planned

    Sleigh rideThe Northwoods Harness Club will host its 32nd annual Sleigh and Cutter Rally Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor’s Center near Ashland. Hook-up is 11 a.m., and the narrated exhibition is at 1 p.m. Equine divisions will be judged, starting with youth drivers and followed by cutters, sleighs and bobsleds drawn by horses of different breeds and hitches. Observers will be treated to free sleigh rides sponsored by Northern State Bank from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Center will be open, with educational exhibits and a food booth available. Event sponsors include the Northern Great Lakes Visitor’s Center, Ashland Chamber of Commerce and area businesses. For more information, call Charlie Singler at 715-685-4725.
