The 56th annual Midwest Rural Energy Conference will take place Feb. 15-16 in La Crosse. The conference aims to educate farmers and other rural energy consumers and suppliers on rural energy issues.
Speakers will discuss robotic milking, data from cow activity monitors, workplace personal safety, grid interactive thermal storage, LED lighting design, incentive programs for energy efficiency, biosecurity on livestock farms, community and utility-scale solar, the Brown County digester project, technical aspects of the electrical code and dangers in the air on farms. Topics will be presented in two tracks to allow attendees to listen in on more than one.
