Strategic logging enhances chances of finding antlers

Eleven deer were browsing fresh logging slash 75 yards from the cabin on a sharp January morning. Tiny steam clouds floated from each open mouth as they nipped tender buds and terminals. Four were bucks. Two carried trophy-class antlers. I glassed the pleasant scene from the warmth of the cabin.
